Bill Matlack , MA (Pre-licensed)
Edgewater & Fairfax Office

Jesus declared that He is the bread of life.  He who comes to Him will never go hungry and he who believes in Him will never be thirsty.

Through his own life experiences Bill has come to understand that ultimate healing comes only through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Other paths help people to help themselves, but only Jesus helps people to receive help through the gift of His grace.  Having experienced that grace himself after following paths apart from Christ, Bill now desires to help others experience Jesus’ redeeming love and forgiveness through His grace.

Feeling God’s call to minister to His people, Bill entered Capital Bible Seminary where he received a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and Discipleship in 2007.  Bill has worked with individuals struggling with depression and sexual lusts.  He has ministered to those experiencing marital difficulties as well as those seeking to build a stronger, healthier marriage.  He knows firsthand the heartache of suicide and terminal illness within the family.  He has spoken with those who have lost children or are currently seeking guidance on reaching out to a hurting child.

He has a heart for working with older teens, adults, and seniors in such areas as marriage and family counseling, pre-marital counseling, and individual counseling.

Having been touched in his heart and spirit in these encounters with God’s hurting children, Bill has an ever increasing desire to comfort others with the comfort that he continues to receive from the Lord.

Continuing on his journey, Bill is pursuing professional licensure in Virginia and is working towards his Master’s degree in Divinity.  Bill grew up in Fairfax, VA, and now resides with his wife, Sharon, and son, Zak, in Leesburg, VA.  He graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1987 with his B.A. and served eight years with the U.S. Army Reserve.  He has worked with a local food bank to help meet the needs of the community, facilitates an adult Bible study, and preaches part-time at a local church.
